Founded on family traditions and values, this rural-residential community lies just about 40 minutes west of Downtown Salt Lake City, 5 minutes south of Tooele and between the Oquirrh and Stansbury mountains in the picturesque Rush Valley.
Co-owners Leland Hogan, a rancher and former county commissioner from Tooele County, and his brother, Bill, a rancher and school teacher, initially began to develop the property for their children. But they soon expanded the project to offer others a piece of their dream.
The Hogans main vision is creating a safe, uncongested, very affordable, and clean community with plenty of scenery and amenities. The Hogans have run a ranch in the area for decades and want to maintain their respect for the land.
"It is an opportunity for people to take advantage of living in the country and being in an area with controlled growth," Leland says. "There is not going to be a lot of growth, and people can be close to all the amenities that Salt Lake and Tooele have to offer."
The Benches is not a "planned community" with limited selection and choices. We don't have an Owner's Association that will micro-manage what you can and cannot do with your lot and home. At the Benches you have the freedom to create the dream home you want and that suites your personality, style, and preferences.
Beyond all of the amenities, the Benches offers exceptional value. Prices in the second phase, now underway, start at $69,900 for 1 1/2 acre lots, $79,900 for 2 acre lots and $99,900 for 3 acre lots.
