New Home Design
September 30th, 2008 by Mr. HomesWhen designing your new home, there are many style options to take into consideration. While most of your focus will no doubt be centered on the rooms that most people will see (living room, dining room, etc), special attention must also be paid to the room dedicated to your own personal space. I’m speaking of course of the bedroom.
When designing your new bedroom, you have a plethora of options from which to choose. What style do you want to convey? What color scheme will work best? What furniture materials best suit your needs? These are the questions that you will have to answer in order to insure that your bedroom is designed in such a way that you can enjoy for many years. After all, your bedroom is your sanctuary. It is the one room in the house that is your own. Nothing is more vital than creating a bedroom that is as relaxing and comfortable for you as humanly possible.
There are currently several bedroom furniture trends that you should be aware of before you begin buying your pieces. You don’t want to purchase mismatching furniture that will create a chaotic environment with no cohesion or unity. The question remains: Which style of bedroom furniture best represents you?
Traditional bedroom furniture offers soothing curves and wonderfully ornate patterns. This old world style is quite welcoming and soothing, accented with soft rounded edges and curves. This colonial inspired style has been popular for centuries and is as pleasing to the eye as it is timeless.
Contemporary bedroom furniture is renowned for its simple design elements and bold, clean lines. A platform bed or a low profile bed is indicative of the contemporary style. A beautiful mixture of form and function, contemporary furniture offers a “no frills” alternative to more elaborate traditional bedroom furniture.
If you are having difficulty deciding between traditional or contemporary bedroom furniture, then a transitional bedroom set may be the fashion for you. Transitional bedroom furniture features elements from both traditional and contemporary furniture. This style usually combines warm hardwood with sleek metals, creating a unique fusion of styles that works with almost any bedroom setting.
Regardless of the style you decide upon, choosing the right bedroom set for your new home can be a daunting task. Once you decide on the style you are looking for, building your new bedroom can be an exciting adventure. Adding furniture pieces to your room and creating a dynamic that makes you most comfortable is an incredible experience that designers and home owners alike can enjoy for years to come.

Hi I saw a segment of Maria Osmond on Entertainment tonight and she had her house photograph for your company.
I am very interested in seeing that catalog with the decoration.
I felt inspired when i saw her house. I experience a forclosure this year and moved to an apartment and i did not want to decorate for christmas but then i saw how beautiful her home look and felt i can decorate and maybe do things differently from what i did in the house. I can start with new ideas from your catolog. Thank You. 128 Monarch Circle #8 Fern Park Florida 32730
